Home energy efficiency assessments
Most of our homes in New Zealand are using much more energy and water than is necessary to deliver the services we require such as space heating and cooling, water heating, running our various appliances and electronic devices, as well as water for showers, clothes washing and watering the garden. There is much that can be done to reduce energy and water use, make our homes healthier to live in, save us money on our power and water bills, and help the environment.
But where do we start? Identifying the changes we need to make can be difficult. Every home is different and requires slightly different solutions to suit its age, architecture, aspect and the specific needs and budget of its occupants.
And that’s the role of a trained home efficiency assessor.
